Dear TQ...

I log on to TQ every day that I possibly can and play catch up if I miss any days. I feel as if TQ is talking directly to me. It is my ego booster, my motivator, my friend, like a personal diary.

It took me a year to be able to write down what I really wanted the rest of my life to look like. Writing those words was a commitment to myself.

Reading TQ has given me the courage to ACT on what I am thinking. These acts are what I know I should do, but the fear is overwhelming. After a TQ session my courage is geared up and I can ACT.

Since TQ I have follwed through on the thought of a comfortable elegant high heel shoe. I have gone to Italy, have made several prototypes, and filed for two patents, one of which has come through so far. My current challenge is to get the product to market.

Here is where I need strength and foritude.

I have contacted several shoe companies. I have had a few rejections. However, I know that I am on the right track due to people who have worn them and comments from those who have tried them for me within two focus groups. They have also been tested in a mechanical engineering project and they have stood up well to the test for a 147 pound woman walking 50 miles. We have made a small production run for a local shoe store and they sold out.

I think of Sylvester Stallone whose acting teacher at Miami University told him he'd never make it. I think of Bill Gates who took his project to IBM and was rejected. Thus, I am moving forward. Last week I recontacted a well-revered female entertainer whom I had contacted last year. She is now ready. She had tested the shoes last year and loved them. She's getting my samples again tomorrow. This is a very big moment for me. I pray she still loves our technology and wants to move forward.

I am also in negotiation with two highly qualified people who will introduce me to the 'right' people for a fee. I need capital to defend my patent and initial production. I showed the shoes to a QVC rep. This is a good product for them However, I'll need capital for initial production as well.

In addition, I founded Samco Promotional Products 22 years ago. We had rough going for the last two years because we lost a very large customer due to an outside acquistition. However, we are now moving in the right direction again due to my positive attitude, my self worth and power to overcome 'fear!'
