Leadership is the wise use of power.
Power is the capacity to translate intention into reality and sustain it.

"Leaders aren't born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that's the price we'll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal."
~ Vince Lombardi
Last week, I asked you to think about the RESULTS you have realized so far this year... and to think back over the preceding 12 months.
Did you have a string of FAILURES?
Great!
This means you are actually taking action.
Do you recognize the mistakes you made?
If so, you are well on your way to producing better RESULTS.
This week, we are going to focus on leadership: Achieving better results with, and though others... creating incredible force-multipliers in your life, by creating greater leverage through powerful interpersonal synergy.
How much more could you have accomplished over the last 12 months if you had entire teams of people working with you?
Greater Results Through Others...
Always remember, your power to lead drives your capacity to succeed.
No question, leadership skills are all important, as they are a key differentiator in organizations of every nature.
Leaders are not "born", but are made—just like transforming a lump of coal into a diamond—under tremendous heat, pressure and time!
This week we will discuss how you can quickly sharpen your leadership skills, by taking 5 simple actions.
To put this discussion in proper context, take a few minutes to think about WHO will be helping you produce greater Results this Year:
My Expected Results:
1) ____________________________
2) ____________________________
3) ____________________________
My Team:
1) ____________________________
2) ____________________________
3) ____________________________
TIME = 2012
What Do You Expect From Your Team?
All last week we talked about the power of crystal-clear EXPECTATIONS... how the road to success is paved with Clear Expectations and Brilliant Execution.
High TQ Performance is the key to success—however you define it: Wealth... Power... or Happiness.
Now, I want you to focus on your TEAM.
What do you Expect from them?
What do you Expect from yourself?
Leadership 101: To be an inspirational leader, you must first be inspired by and absolutely committed to an ideal vision.
Whatever the cause, you'll never attract anyone else's interest if it doesn't inspire you first.
To be an effective leader, you must learn how to share your vision with others in a way that helps them commit whole-heartedly to the same dream.
Inspire others and there's nothing you can't do.
Lead by example; share the dream; commit to the cost; and keep hope alive.
Stop and listen to the audio track for this TQ Factor while you're reading the rest of this page, and while you're completing the exercises below.
This is just one track from our fabulous SYNERGIZE Personal Workshop. If you don't own the complete collection, maybe it's high time to get with the program!
Engage your brain on as many levels as possible and
you'll learn faster, and remember what you've read longer.

Factor 7C's CONTRIBUTION to your performance...
A high commitment to this Factor of your performance suggests you do everything possible to inspire others in a positive way.
You do your best to live your life as a model that others would choose to follow.
You have inspiring visions and strive toward high ideals. You are capable of achieving huge goals, because you have motivated an army of people to contribute their time and talents, hearts and souls to the same dream.
When this happens, they are happy to do whatever needs to be done, because they are swept up in the excitement of achieving the same mission as you.
Factor 7C's COST to your success...
A lack of commitment suggests you are someone who underestimates the impact you have on others.
You may believe that you have a personal mission -- and that only you can accomplish it.
You may mistakenly believe that your personal mission is a solo race -- with no benefit to or effect on anyone else. Both of these beliefs limit your potential. Both restrict the unlimited possibilities that would be available if others could be inspired to join in, and benefit from, what you're trying to accomplish.
The Bottom Line...
If you want to produce significantly better RESULTS... and do it in less TIME, you can. Simply turn up your Power of TQ... by doing Factor 7C more frequently.
This week, take some time to think about what your life would be like if you had more PEOPLE POWER. What could you accomplish then?
Remember, there are tangible RESULTS... and then there is everything else. Become known for producing superior RESULTS and you will become successful beyond your wildest dreams.
Don't and you won't.
If you haven't already, right now is the perfect time to take a baseline assessment of your EXPECTATIONS and your POWER to achieve them. I urge you to take the full 100 question TQ Test to baseline where you are now... and what you will need to do differently to achieve your goals this year. -- E.R. Haas, CEO

Can Anything Stop A Shared Vision?
The strongest force in nature is a shared vision. Nothing can stand in its way.
Find someone with whom you can share your vision with before the end of the week. Give them all the details to see -- really see -- the ideal you want to accomplish.
What Are You Trying To Accomplish?
If you create a shared sense of vision that others also truly value, they'll astound you with their ability and exceed your expectations. They'll do these things, not because they have to, but because they want to.
Dream big, and bring everyone else along with you.
What's The Biggest Goal For Your Team Right Now?
A big goal inspires everyone. It boosts them up, and gives them something to work for.
A clear understanding of the team's vision and a belief in the importance of that vision are the keys to motivating people.
Who Needs A Little Inspiration Right Now?
Inspiration is the critical catalyst for goal accomplishment. Do whatever is necessary to motivate your people to do their best work possible.
All things become possible when you inspire others to achieve their own greatness.
Do You Ever Wonder How Much Gets Done When You Aren't Around?

Motivation, Mission and Set Goals--I have trouble with "Someday, I will" because memories of past failures (fear),unnecessary hard work (intimidation) and weakness (doubt) immediately surface. "It is OK to trick yourself into action" My trick is to take away the strings and free the imagination. So I use "I desire to...", "I want to...", "Someday, I see myself..." "Someday, I want to be...", "Someday, I want to give..", "Someday, I could.."
After selecting the best of these visions I can commit and use "Someday I will..."
Asserting myself upon my self with Courage and Trust.
My progress is January was below expectations but February is turning out to be great.
Initial goal was to make a record, for this I have built a complete studio with the help of a few good friends and have gathered every instrument needed for this record, as well as amps, effects, etc.
So far:
My music studio has been built, far beyond expectations. Almost everything connected, music has been progressing well also, just need to make sure that I don't get distracted and sidetracked from the initial plans.
This goal is at a 9 i slacked a little this month but still painted at least the 1 and only 1 this time~
Myself first... Then...

Learn to trust, appreciate and let go ...
I am in contact with a lots of people who have extreme challenges and many times this is energy draining in the sense that I feel a deep sadness for the pain and suffering of the individual and humanity. I cannot eliminate this feeling, nor can I ruthlessly abandon the people who touch my life and need encouragement and assistance to overcome their challenges. As deeply as I am impacted by my feelings, my attitude takes an overhaul each time, and, after listening empathetically to their stories and providing heartfelt encouragement, I regain my balance, see what it is that I can do to contribute to the solution and then do it.
My goal/vision is to bring love, understanding, resolution, peace, harmony, balance and acceptance to the temporary situation or current reality, in addition to, providing a healthy and meaningful growth opportunity via the sharing of personal experience, sharing and/or training of appropriate skills, thus, encouraging the individuals to face, accept, deal with and overcome their pain, carry on briliantly and courageously, smile more as they face and see the opportunity in the lesson of their or my experience and overcome their challenges as I continue to meet and exceed mine. Contributing to and seeing the healing process come to fruition, in turn, of course, makes me smile more too :-) Every person healed becomes a new associate and willing team member.
The only thing I can do to handle my kind of energy drainers is press the refresh and reset button on my attitude/gratitude. ie PAIN/SADNESS....find a solution. Start it now. Get it done. Then, as the results start pouring in, express heartfelt gratitude to the Creator of all great miracles, not the least of which is the discovery and implementation of the TQ Process! Sincerely, appreciatively, and, gratefully, Gabriele L Grach
I would offer this thought: find your own version of 'teflon' to protect your internal focus - you'll not need to stop to hit 'refresh' as often - incorporate this naturally and there will be no slowdown.
I have walked away from those I sought to help because I am not strong enough to help anyone ( beyond the basics of love, understanding, acceptance) and to also keep my dreams alive. I give into these people, devote too much time to them, and take a backseat to myself. So I now stay away from those people ( new relationships) like the plague.
I seek more positive people to spend time with. I find myself more on track, more upbeat, more myself.
When I am more successful in my chosen area, I can go back and do more for others.. and I know I can do so in a more powerful way. This does has to be qualified though.. If a good freind had a problem - a critical issue- I would still do everything I could to assist- and they would also come to my aid- i think this is key. Help others who also help you. Stay away from those who need help, but cannot assist you. Not until you are strong enough to not feel the drain upon your resources, because it will sink you.

I need to work on my communications skills and let them know that I need their support and cooperation. In the case of Art and Lori, I need their guidance and leadership.
among my dismal failures that i am yet to ractify,is failure to remain on strategic position consistently ie.with relationships with people with whom i can leverage. goals such as applying for docs, saving and clearing debts, been resourcefully wasteful due to lack of goal focus.

1. Lack of vision, clarity of purpose

3. Pressing issues and circumstances;

I did a really good job of delegating but poorly at setting deadlines. My issue is having people that surround me that is not deadline oriented even though I am. I didn't recognize it until now that I've allowed them to change me. New people are coming into our ministry that appear to have a servant leader's heart and are excited about helping me fulfill the mission of the ministry.
I will become a better leader by remaining enthusiastic about my dreams, require deadlines on all projects, expect people to perform at their highest level possible and expect to achieve all of what I've set out to do.
This time I must properly communicate my vision to myself, my family and my partners.
